Unphotographable

This is a picture I did not take

of a young, eager photographer at the Castro Street Fair, crouched low, photographing (at close range) an old man in a wheelchair, slumped from drugs or sleep or drink or disease, head hanging low, a thin slip of spittle hanging from his lips, backlit by a bright late-afternoon sun and the interrupting shadows of people passing by.

If photographing tourists is "shooting fish in a barrel", what is photographing people on the nod in wheelchairs?
